What rules do I have to follow to keep my StartTrader account?

For accounts purchased before October 21, 2026:

Keep your Daily loss limit (calculated from end-of-day equity) up to 3% and your Max Loss limit (calculated from starting balance) up to 6% — same rules as the challenge phases.

Also follow the maximum risk on open trades rule — breaking it doesn't lose you the account, but triggers a warning or eventually Consistency rules.

Once you reach the final phase and get your StartTrader virtually funded account, you no longer have profit target or volume requirements. You just need to stay active — close at least one trade every 30 calendar days. An account not traded for 30 calendar days will be closed.

For accounts purchased from October 21, 2026:

Keep your Daily Loss Limit up to 2% and your Max Loss Limit up to 8% instead (see How does StartTrader Challenge work? What are the rules? for what happens the first time you hit the Daily Loss Limit — it's a Soft Breach, not account closure). Once virtually funded, the same "stay active" rule applies: at least one trade every 30 calendar days, or the account is closed for inactivity.
